The oldest annual review publication still publishing is Annual Reports on the Progress of Chemistry, published by the Royal Society of Chemistry (formerly the chemical Society), which began in 1905 and which covers the whole field of chemistry. Since 1967 it has been divided into sections. Organic chemistry is found in Section B.

Volume 55 of Annual Reports on NMR consists of the usual eclectic combination of reports which represent advances in the various techniques and applications of NMR. A similar measure (per 100000) is used by the HSC in its annual report on national accident statistics and enables comparisons to be made within an organization between time periods when employee numbers may change.
