The remaining steroid lipids constitute two main classes of steroid hormones sex hormones and adrenocortical hormones. The sex hormones include androgens (testosterone, androsterone), estrogens (estrone, estradiol), and progestins (progesterone). The adrenocortical hormones include mineralocorticoids (aldosterone) and glucocorticoids (hydrocortisone).
