Adverse reactions expression

Some patients with parkinsonism communicate poorly and do not tell the primary health care provider or nurse that problems are occurring. The nurse observes the patient with parkinsonism for outward changes that may indicate one or more adverse reactions. For example a sudden change in the facial expression or changes in posture may indicate abdominal pain or discomfort, which may be caused by urinary retention, paralytic ileus, or constipation. Sudden changes in behavior may indicate hallucinations, depression, or other psychotic episodes. 

Immediately report the occurrence of the following adverse reactions restlessness, inability to sit still, muscle spasms, masklike expression, rigidity, tremors, drooling, or involuntary rhythmic movements of the mouth, face, or extremities. If exposure is unavoidable, wear sunblock, keep arms and legs covered, and wear a sun hat. 

The adverse reactions associated widi metoclopramide are usually mild. Higher doses or prolonged administration may produce central nervous system (CNS) symptoms, such as drowsiness, dizziness, Parkinson-like symptoms (tremor, mask-like facial expression, muscle rigidity), depression, facial grimacing, motor restlessness, and involuntary movements of die eyes, face, or limbs. Drug-specific T cells have been identified in the blood of patients and persist for months after the adverse reaction [74]. Drug-specific T-cell clones have been derived they produce IL-4, IL-5, TNF-a and inconstantly IFN-y. The similarity between the TCRVp expressed by drug-specific T-cells in the blood and those expressed by T-ceUs in the kidney biopsies strongly suggest that drug-specific T cells localize into the kidneys [74] and orchestrate inflammation.

Rituximab is used against malignant B lymphocytes that express the CD20 antigen. The mean serum half-life is S9.8 hours, with variability possibly reflecting the tumor burden. Adverse reactions include hypersensitivity or anaphylactic reactions, cardiac arrhythmias, nausea, fatigue, and urticaria. Fever and chills may occur during infusion.
