The value of the compresjiibility of oil is a function of the amount of dissolved gas, but is in the order of 10 x 10" psi" By comparison, typical water and gas compressibilities are 4x10" psi" and 500 x 10" psi" respectively. Above the bubble point in an oil reservoir the compressibility of the oil is a major determinant of how the pressure declines for a given change in volume (brought about by a withdrawal of reservoir fluid during production). 

At least one hole near the perimeter of each plate connects the flow ch annels from one side of the plate to the other. The membrane is sealed around the hole to isolate the permeate from the concentrate. Permeate collects in a drain grid behind the membrane and exits from a withdrawal port on the frame perimeter. 

Mutual Exclusion (MUTEX). The idea of multiple entities all working on the same piece of work raises this issue of coordination and communication among the individual processes. A weU-known example from banking is instmctive. Consider two bank tellers simultaneously performing withdrawals from the same bank account. Both read the account balance and determine that the balance is 100, and so a withdrawal of 100 is allowed. Both then withdraw 100 from the account. Clearly this process needs some means by which the actions of the independent processes can be synchronized and coordinated.

Withdrawal of a draw-out circuit breaker or a withdrawable switch or contactor will not be possible unless they are in an OFF position. 

Operation of withdrawable equipment, such as a breaker or components on a withdrawable chassis, will not be possible unless it is in serv ice. test, isolated or totally removed positions. 

Deshielding (Section 13.2) An effect observed in NMR that causes a nucleus to absorb downfield (to the left) of tetramethylsilane (TMS) standard. Deshielding is caused by a withdrawal of electron density from the nucleus. 

Table 9 shows the PP MO results for this interesting series of highly strained three-membered cyclic molecules. Here a detailed comparison is possible with the best results of an all-electron study, including d functions10 (also reported in Table 9). An analysis of this table reveals how all trends in population analysis, both in charges and overlap populations, are the same in the AE + d and in the simple PP calculations, with very few and very minor exceptions. A rebound sleep disturbance has been found after only 7—10 days of treatment with therapeutic doses of triazolam (Greenblatt et al. 1987). Others have described a withdrawal syndrome after substitution of a short-acting benzodiazepine for a long-acting benzodiazepine (Conell and Berhn 1983). Rebound insomnia may occur with zolpidem.

Typically, funding to embark on information and/or knowledge management initiatives within the life sciences only occurs after a serious failure within the business, such as a project failure or a withdrawal of a medicine from the market. SSRIs are the drugs of choice for PD. All SSRIs have demonstrated effectiveness in controlled trials, with 60% to 80% of patients achieving a panic-free state.28,48,49 With similar efficacy reported and no trials comparing SSRIs with other SSRIs, selection generally is based on pharmacokinetics, drug interactions, side effects, and cost differences (see Chap. 35 for more discussion). A withdrawal syndrome has not been described for this drug in human subjects. In overdose, the treatment of choice for the psychotic activity is the antipsychotic drug haloperidol.

Chronic exposure is not usually associated with a withdrawal syndrome, but sudden discontinuation by heavy users can cause a withdrawal syndrome. 

A sequence constraint may govern actions, stating the possible sequences it may be expressed in the form of a state chart. Of all possible sequences of finer actions, only some may constitute an occurrence of the abstract action for example, the card reader and ATM keys can always be used, but only some sequences constitute a withdraw action.
