Words form issues

It is common in linguistics to say tiiat words are not atomic entities with regard to syntax or semantics but rather are composed of morphemes. If we consider the words big, bigger and BIGGEST we see there is a clear connection between the three words. The issue that concerns us is whether we should consider all of these as separate words, and store them in the lexicon, or just store the root form BIG and then use rules to derive the other forms. 

The way to estimate strategic value in the financial sense, in other words the premium paid beyond the enterprise value, is probably the valuation issue which is least amenable to any form of method or systematic analysis. Although previous transactions from external benchmarking or from the company s own experience may give some kind of lead, even if there is true comparability between the benchmark and the valuation subject, differences in market conditions from one day to the next will often have major influences on the price of an asset. The acquisition of Hexal by Novartis Sandoz generic division in 2006 was widely criticized at the time as being too costly, yet immediately thereafter Teva bought Ivax to re-establish their market position... 

Today, I try to remind myself to never make a hasty judgment about any controversial issue without doing some research. Forming an opinion about something I personally know nothing of is foolhardy. Too often, I suspect later I might have to eat those words. 

For nonscientific magazines and other periodicals that are not abstracted by Chemical Abstracts Service, give the authors names in inverted form ending with a period, the article title in roman type with main words capitalized and ending with a period, the full magazine title in italic type followed by a comma in italic type, the complete date of the issue (see pp 160-161 about dates) ending with a comma, and the pagination. 

However, this derivation of Levy statistics does not seem to reproduce satisfactorily all the properties that emerged from the illustration of superdiffusion processes of Section VI. We think that this formal way of proceeding does not address directly what seems to us a still unsolved issue of modem physics, this being the connection between dynamics and thermodynamics. As pointed out by the authors of Ref. 80, a satisfactory connection between a noncanonical form of equilibrium and thermodynamics should satisfactorily address the problem of thermal contact between a system at equilibrium in a canonical state and a system at equilibrium in a noncanonical condition. In other words, we have to establish which is the temperature of Levy system, if we believe that this form of noncanonical equilibrium is compatible with thermodynamic equilibrium.
