Palliative and supportive measures are the cornerstone of therapy for patients with genital herpes. Pain and discomfort usually respond to warm saline baths or the use of analgesics, antipyretics, or antipruritics.

Intraluminal pressure signals are delivered to an amplifier and displayed on a four channel polygraph. Warm saline-soaked cotton wool swabs are laid around the exteriorized organ to maintain its temperature and to keep it moist in experiments involving the topical application of substances on the bladder dome. 

Pietra et al. (1990) studied the effects of some antidepressants on the volume-induced reflex contractions of the rat urinary bladder. The urinary bladder of anesthetized rats was filled via the recording catheter by incremental volumes of warmed saline until bladder contractions occurred as a result of central activity. Volume-induced contractions were then recorded and occurred rhythmically and reproducibly for 2-3 h. Drug activity was assessed in each animal against the background frequency of bladder contractions, for a 15-min time period following intravenous administration of different doses. 

Diverse processes can form intermediate waters within the water column. In the southern South Atlantic, the NADW overrides the denser ABW. Antarctic Intermediate Water results from water sinking along the Antarctic Convergence ( 50°S). Relatively warm, saline... 

O2 can be used as a tracer to help identify the origin of water masses. The warm, saline intrusion into the Atlantic Ocean from the Mediterranean Sea is relatively O2 deficient. Alternatively, the waters down-welling from Polar Regions have elevated O2 concentrations.

Where a skeletal source cannot be identified, calcium carbonate (CaC03) grains and finegrained muds may be of abiological origin. The most famous occurrences occur in shallow, warm, saline waters of the Bahamas and the Arabian Gulf. In these areas two distinctive morphologies are present, ooids and needle muds (Fig. 1). 

In the summer of 2003, an Omega situation led to the second ever recognized important baroclinic inflow of warm saline water into the central Baltic Sea that substituted entirely the cold water of the Major Baltic Inflow of January 2003 residing there (Feistel et al., 2004b, 2006).

The Jordan River flows into Lake Gennesaret or the Sea of Galilee, which Josephus describes as delicious and pure with a sandy beach on every side. It is slightly salty due to warm saline springs that enter the floor of the lake. 

The YS Warm Current is a main component of the YS circulation, and brings the external warm saline water into the YS to affect the YS environment. The YS Warm Current used to be thought of as a branch separated from the Tsushima Warm Current in the sea area southeast of Cheju Island and to have features that were stronger in winter and weaker in summer.
