Since sprinkler systems can only be effective if the valves are open, it is important to supervise the valves. [Pg.410]

Valve supervision should consist of all valves 2-1/2 and over or controlling sprinklers for critical hazards. It is a simple switch attached to an indicating valve to detect movement.
