The recorded area, however, cannot be determined quickly because the integration limits are not well defined, as the baseline is approached in an asymptotic manner. This drawback can be minimised by using triangulation procedures [139].

The approach taken to come up with ATS production estimates is one of triangulation, estimating production based on reported seizures of the end products in combination with some assumptions of law enforcement effectiveness, seizure data of precursor chemicals and estimates based on the number of consumers and their likely levels of per capita consumption. The average of these three estimates is then used to arrive at UNODCs global estimates for amphetamine, methamphetamine and ecstasy production. The procedure of triangulation is subject to the same limitations as those already described. It has an additional drawback in that inflectional tangents have to be drawn. Small errors in the positioning of these inflectional tangents significantly affect the peak height measurement therefore, this procedure is not recommended. 

Delaunay triangulation maximizes the minimum angle of all simplices. Alternatively, the procedure could be briefly described as finding all adjacent points off in the Delaunay graph. 

In this study, we used qualitative approaches by triangulating the data collection procedure.
