Transfer agreements

A primary research report should contain sufficient detail and reference to public sources of information to permit the author s peers to repeat the work. When requested, the authors should make a reasonable effort to provide samples of unusual materials unavailable elsewhere, such as clones, microorganism strains, antibodies, etc., to other researchers, with appropriate material transfer agreements to restrict the field of use of the materials so as to protect the legitimate interests of the authors. 

COSTECH is responsible for the review of most protocols for accessing natural resources. The application forms for access are simple and straightforward. Thus, for a foreign collaborator and a Tanzanian institution, the two parties must complete an Application for Research Clearance before they are allowed to continue and this is attached to the research proposal. There are then fees to be paid and a materials transfer agreement to be established. Academic research requests are processed through COSTECH, but commercial requests, depending on the aim, go through other ministries. 

Secondary Triage. Secondary triage is the transfer of burn patients from one burn center to another burn center upon reaching surge capacity. Secondary triage policy should be put into place at every burn center, with formal written transfer agreements previously established. 

It seems that the role of micelles was first considered by Goldberg et al., ° who stndied transport of micelle-solnbilized drugs from the aqueous environment to an oil phase dispersed as drops. They measured mass transfer rates in two systems where solnbility of the oil in the aqneons phase was negligible. Their model included partitioning between the bnlk aqneons phase and micelles and both diffnsional and interfacial resistances to mass transfer. Agreement with experimental data was best when interfacial resistance to mass transfer was limiting.

An experimental value of R0 can be obtained by plotting f as a function of the logarithm of the acceptor concentration and fitting the theoretical curve calculated according to Forster s theory to the experimental results. An experimental value larger than the calculated one may be considered as evidence for migration of excitation prior to the transfer. Agreement was obtained between the experimental results and Forster s theory for the system polystyrene—tetraphenylbutadiene [165]. 

A written form requesting use of tissue from the biorepository should be available. The written request must include biologies requested, preservation methods, donor criteria, and evidence of institutional approval for the proposed use. A committee that operates from written procedures should review requests. An end-user agreement is used for distribution of approved tissues to end users. A Master Materials Transfer Agreement housed at the Association of University Technology Transfer Managers is a helpful reference document for this purpose (32) (see Note 17). 

POSCO Power is the exclusive supplier of MCFC systems in Korea under a technology transfer agreement with FCE it has just completed the constraction of its FC stack manufacturing plant in the city of Pohang. The facility now has the capacity to produce 100 MW worth of MCFC stacks annually and the complex has installed a 2.4 MW FC power plant...
