Where building employees are from mainly ethnic communities, consideration should be given to the positioning of toilet facilities so that religious beliefs are not compromised. 

Daily bathing (showering is best) is recommended. Disinfect toilet facilities daily, and disinfect the bathtub or shower stall immediately after bathing. Use the disinfectant recommended by the primary health care provider or use chlorine bleach. Scrub the surfaces thoroughly and allow the disinfectant to remain in contact with the surfaces for several minutes. 

Adequate washing facilities shall be provided, including hot and cold water, soap or detergent, air driers or single-service towels, and clean toilet facilities easily accesible to working areas.

Level V. Level V areas are noncontrolled. They include research and development laboratories, offices, quality control laboratories, microbiological laboratories (with the exception of the sterility test area), lunchroom, toilet facilities, and other nonmanufacturing areas of the facility. 

Paper, water, and soap must be located in or near the toilet facilities in order to ensure personal hygiene. Hand washing should be promoted. 

Functional incontinence is not caused by bladder- or urethra-specific factors. Rather, in patients with conditions such as dementia or cognitive or mobility deficits, the UI is linked to the primary disease process more than any extrinsic or intrinsic deficit of the lower urinary tract. An example of functional incontinence occurs in the postoperative orthopedic surgery patient. Following extensive orthopedic reconstructions such as total hip arthroplasty, patients are often immobile secondary to pain or traction. Therefore the patient may be unable to access toileting facilities in a reasonable period of time and may become incontinent as a result. The treatment of this type of UI may involve only placing a urinal or commode at the bedside that allows for simplified access to toileting. 

Sufficient clean, well-ventilated toilet facilities including facilities for hand-washing and rooms for changing clothes, should be available near working areas for the use of manufacturing personnel. 

Rest, change, wash-up and toilet facilities are well separated from production areas, sufficiently spacious, well ventilated and of a type that permits good sanitary practices.

The operating personnel shall be provided with a sufficient number of well ventilated and adequately equipped wash rooms, dressing rooms and toilet facilities. It is advisable to provide lounges for the personnel.
