Test tab

The resistance of borided samples against aggressive chemical reagents have been tested (Tab. 5) and following assumptions have been made. 

Characterization for this series of tests consisted of destructive and non-destructive methods. Destructive characterization consisted of generating optical microstructures fiom scrap material or post-test tab regions of tensile bars. Non-destructive characterization was done wiA both thermography and micro-focus X-ray CT. (The micro-focus CT was only dcme on the 30 Hz fatigue samples and was limited to the gauge section of the material. This was done to keep the X-ray CT data to a manageable level.)... 

They are very useful not only for testing. They are being used in practical commercial cells. Figure 9 shows electrode preparation with TAB. Figures 10, 11 and 12 show the test results for a Mn02 sample (IC No. 17) in 9 mol L"1 KOH and 25% ZnCl2 (+5% NH4C1) solutions. 

MH alloys. LiCo02 and other materials have also been successfully tested with TAB [17]. 

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) requires that consumer batteries pass a number of safety tests [3]. UL requires that a battery withstand a short circuit without fire or explosion. A positive temperature coefficient (PTC) device [4] is used for external short-circuit protection. The resistance of a PTC placed in series with the cell increases by orders of magnitude at high currents and resulting high temperatures. However, in the case of an internal short, e.g., if the positive tab comes lose and contacts the interior of the negative metal can, the separator could act as a fuse. That is, the impedance of the separator increases by two to three orders of magnitude due to an increase in cell temperature.

The influence of ZnCFO concentration (3,0 5,0 7,0 phr) on formation of properties complex of the unfilled rubber mixes and their vulcanizates on the basis of isoprene rubber of the following recipe, phr isoprene rubber - 100,0 sulfur - 1,0 di - (2-benzothiazolyl) -disulfide - 0,6 N, N -diphenylguanidine - 3,0 stearic acid - 1,0, was carried out in comparison with the known activator - zinc oxide (5,0 phr). The analysis of Rheometer data of sulfur vulcanization process of elastomeric compositions at 155°C (fig. 5) shows, that on crosslink density and cure rate, about what the constants of speed in the main period (k2) testify, they surpass the control composition with 5,0 phr of zinc oxide. Improvement of the complex of elastic - strong parameters of rubbers with ZnCFO as at normal test conditions, and after thermal air aging (tab. 1), probably, is caused by influence of the new activator on vulcanization network character. So, the percent part of polysulfide bonds (C-Sx-C) and amount of sulfur atoms appropriating to one crosslink (S atoms/crosslink) in vulcanizates with ZnCFO are decreased, the percent part of disulfide bonds (C-S2-C) is increased (fig. 62). 

It was all quite interesting, and I thought that perhaps I could figure it all out someday. I can t remember much else, except at the end of the test, I took a Thorazine tab (the fashionable way to come down in those days) and went home.

Complex 93 was tested in a variety of [5+2] cycloaddition reactions and compared, where relevant, with some other effective catalysts (Tab. 13.6). Excellent results were obtained with VCPs tethered to terminal and internal alkynes, alkynoates, and aUcenes.
