Simply, SCADA is a computer-based control system that remotely controls processes previously controlled manually. The philosophy behind SCADA control systems can be summed up by the phrase, If you can measure it, you can control it. SCADA allows an operator using a central computer to supervise (control and monitor) multiple networked computers at remote locations. Each remote computer can control mechanical processes (mixers, pumps, valves, etc.) and collect data from sensors at... 

Other supervisory signals may come from fire protection system components such as supervised control valves, system air and supervisory air pressure transmitters, water tank level and temperature transmitters, valve house and fire water pump building temperature transmitters, and fire water pumps.

Physicians exercise plenary independent prescribing authority. Plenary authority refers to the ability to prescribe all drugs, treatments, and devices, including controlled substances, without supervision, control, or oversight by another profession.Independent prescribing authority means that the prescriber has the sole authority to make treatment decisions and is wholly responsible for the resultant outcomes. 

Strengthen inspection, supervision, control illegal risks as much as possible to reduce violations. Management is not intended to eliminate illegal violations, but to control the risks of violation, so that minimize violations, but also to reduce losses to a minimum illegal. This is the one of the most important organization of the accident factors. 

Thorough study of section 6.6.2, plus Combustion Supervising Controls in pt 7 of reference 52, is imperative for your own personal safety, for your job, and for the whole organization in which you work.

Generally speaking, the purpose of a control system is to supervise, control, monitor, schedule, document and record process parameters that are vital to plant operation. The control system of any plant or system is related to the process design of the plant and ultimately its operation, and must be able to cope with various uncertainties. In other words, the control system is closely tied to process operability. Process operability, in turn, involves the coordinated effort of both the operator and the automatic control system. The automatic controls system is PLC-based and includes the MCP and local control panels (LCP). PLC systems are preferred to discrete control systems because of the flexibility in establishing set-points and providing multiple functions. 

Lack of supervision/control or improper activities in this field lead to actions inconsistent with the procedures in force, the application of procedures inconsistent with safety rules, etc. Lack of supervision/control over the level of training and education of aircrews may prove conducive to hazards due to errors made by crew members or their poor skills in coping with specific situations.

The BSI kite mark is an assurance that the product carrying the label has been produced under a system of supervision, control and testing, and can only be used by manufacturers who have been granted a licence under the scheme. It does not necessarily cover safety unless the appropriate British Standard specifies a safety requirement.

In order to supervise the operation of the voting and protective logic units. Safety Parameters (SP) are sent to both Safety Parameter Display Units (SPDU) in the main and secondary consoles and to the Supervision Control System (SCS) via appropriate interface units.
