Structures Derwent

MDDR is a database derived principally from the patent literature, journals, and meetings. It contains the structures of approximately 130000 compounds of which approximately 1000 are launched drugs. WDI is a Derwent database of approximately 73 000 marketed drugs and development compounds, drawn from journals, scientific meetings, and approved name lists. CMC is a list of about 8400 compounds taken from the Drug Compendium in Pergamon s Comprehensive Medicinal Chemistry [94] and also from the United States Approved Names list. [Pg.392]

WPIM (World Patents Index Markush), produced by Derwent Publications, Ltd., contains the specific and generic structure records for compounds in the patents included in Derwent Sections B (Farmdoc), C (Agdoc), and E (Chemdoc) since 1987. Sources include patents from 29 industrialized countries as well as European and PCT patents and also items from Research Disclosure and International Technology Disclosures. The compound numbers of relevant references found in WPIM can be searched in Derwent s WPI database to retrieve the corresponding bibliographic information. [Pg.126]

GeneSeq . Thomson Derwent s biosequence database, provides information on nucleic and amino acid sequences found in the patent literature. It has biosequence indexing for the patents included in the DWPI database beginning with the very first patents to carry protein and nucleotide sequence descriptions. GeneSeq structure searches retrieve records with the sequence, a short abstract directed to that sequence. [Pg.225]

The other, much larger limitation of the above links is that they don t allow one to search by chemical structure. Databases that do, like CAS, CrossFire , and Derwent, aren t free,... [Pg.125]

Source Web of Science (papers) and Derwent Innovation Index (patents), October 2008, used with permission. The inset shows the number of Framework Type Codes (FTCs) collected in the different editions of the Atlas of Zeolite Framework Types plus the number of FTCs already approved by the Structure Commission of the International Zeolite Association in November 2008 (http //www.iza-structure.org/)... [Pg.266]

Web of Science and around 1000 zeolite related patents per year can be found under the same Topic search in the Derwent Innovation Index . The number of new Zeolite Framework Type Codes (FTCs, see below) also grows fast, with an average of over 7 FTCs per year for the last 12 years. This chapter tries to cover a vast portion of zeolite science at an intermediate level, with a focus on and more in-depth coverage of zeolite synthesis. The chapter is organised in, perhaps, a less usual way, since the general sections on structural and compositional chemistry and applications go before the more specific sections on synthesis. We think the early sections will show that the vast richness of current zeolite science and applications heavily rehes on an enormous synthetic effort that we will try to summarise and rationalise in the later sections. [Pg.267]
