Station holding

Needle valve N4 allows a slow bleed of adsorbate to the out septum and then to a sample cell positioned at the outgassing station. The slow flow of gas through this part of the circuit provides a source of adsorbate for the purpose of signal calibration and as a purge for the outgassing station holding cell S2. [Pg.167]

The reagent station holds all the flasks required for the Enzygnost (R) test, in addition to a further reagent for specific assays. It can hold up to six reagent flasks, of which at least two are for the conjugate an one is for distilled water. [Pg.453]

Today the walk up from New Eltham station to the Chantry is sunny, the suburban gardens bright with well-pruned roses and bedding plants laid out by ruler. Somehow the drone of a lawn-mower is as peaceful as the hum of bees in a meadow. When I reach the Chantry, the trees, which in my memory are hedges no higher than my head, hold the house and workshop in thick shadow. And when Uncle Gareth leads me into the house itself, the shadows are thicker still. [Pg.129]

In the first step all suitable vessels are determined which meet the technical requirements of all basic operations of the control-recipe and which are able to hold the maximum load determined by the (scaled) recipe. Additionally all stations are selected which are suitable to fulfil at least the requirements of the next recipe step. In the case of parallel steps in the recipe, all basic operations occurring in this... [Pg.41]

Hydrogen powered cars need to hold enough fuel to get the 300 mile driving range of today s IC cars. Hydrogen service stations are few, so refueling becomes a problem. About 12,000 fuel stations in the hundred largest cities in the U.S. would put 70% of the population within 2 miles of fuel. At a cost of one million dollars per station, 12 billion would be needed to provide a fuel infrastructure. This is less than half of what it would cost to build the Alaska pipeline in today s dollars. [Pg.130]

Hank C. Jenkins-Smith is professor of public policy at the George H.W. Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A M University in College Station. He holds the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long Chair of Business and Government at the Bush School. He was previously professor of political science and director of the Institute for Public Policy at the University of New Mexico. Professor Jenkins-Smith s areas of research include science and technology policy, environmental policy, public perceptions of environmental and technical risks, and national security policy. Professor Jenkins-Smith has written books on the public policy process and policy analysis and has served on a number of committees for the National Research Council. [Pg.172]

For some time now, the hydrogen economy development has been on hold because of this issue no company is willing to sell (nor a customer willing to buy) a car for which there are no refueling stations, and no energy provider is willing to invest in developing a massive supply infrastructure for which there is no demand (hence, the chicken or the egg situation). [Pg.22]

The sample is transferred through a stainless steel cannula connected to a Teflon holding loop and Master Laboratory Station (MLS). [Pg.178]

The filtration station can hold a Gooch crucible and/or beaker. [Pg.178]

Meanwhile, the 2009 Honda Civic GX is the only production natural gas-powered passenger sedan on the U.S. market. Its sticker price is a modest 24,590 and up to 7,000 in state and federal tax credits are available. The downside is that there are only about 1,600 CNG stations in the U.S., making refueling difficult and the gas tank holds the equivalent of a mere eight gallons of gasoline. However, growing... [Pg.58]
