Spectra References (Including Theory in Some Cases) [Pg.537]

The chapter on Drugs, Pharmaceuticals, and Pharmacological Applications (Chap. 16) refers to many collections of infrared and other types of spectra. Among these collections are spectra for a very wide variety of biochemical and other compounds, not only drugs and pharmaceuticals. [Pg.537]

The Sadtier Research Laboratories of Philadelphia maintains large collections of spectra of substances of high purity and of various classifications. The spectra are cross-referenced to the ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) IBM cards, allowing workers with these IBM cards to sort for Sadtier spectra. [Pg.537]

The fiftieth edition of the Handbook of Chemistry and Physics (1969-1970) contains a spectra index of organic compounds. The index is a listing of the Sadtier Standard Spectra recorded with an infrared prism instrument. The index also contains the Sadtier infrared grating, ultraviolet, and NMR numbers of many compounds listed in the Table of Physical Constants of Organic Compounds of the Handbook. [Pg.537]

The Coblentz Society maintains a collection of high quality and verified spectra which are sold by the Sadtier Research Laboratories. A microfilm edition of these spectra is available from Mrs. Clara D. Smith, Editor, Coblentz Society Spectra, P.O. Box 584, Princeton, New Jersey 08540. Volumes 1 through 7 are now available, and they meet the Coblentz Society specifications for Approved Analytical Spectra (see Anal. Chem. 38, No. 9, p. 27A, Aug., 1966). [Pg.537]
