Solvent, solvents diethylene glycol monobutyl ether

For placing tubular SOFCs in the cathode matrix, a bonding paste was used, prepared by mixing the LSCF powder, the binder (cellulose), the dispersant (polymer of an amine system), and the solvent (diethylene glycol monobutyl ether). The paste was painted on the surface of the cathode matrices, followed by the placement of tubular cells and sintered at 1000 °C for 1 h in air. Two types of bundles were prepared a bundle with five >0.8 mm tubes and a bundle with three <)>2 mm tubes whose volumes are 0.2 and 0.33 cm, respectively. [Pg.180]

The amount of added water required for desalting may be minimized by adding a chemical emulsion breaker to the crude that is capable of displacing the surface-active components from the brine droplets. Quatemized carboxylic-sulfonic acid salts, shown in Figure 22-9, are useful for desalting [1791]. Preferably, the chemical emulsion breaker is used in combination with a delivery solvent, such as diethylene glycol monobutyl ether. [Pg.340]

Potassium hydroxide solution (5 ml), followed by the halogen compound (0.025 mole), are added to a solution of 2,4-dinitrothiophenol (5 g, 0.025 mole) in Butylcarbitol (diethylene glycol monobutyl ether) (50 ml). In a few cases, when reaction does not occur at once, the mixture is heated at 70° for 10-30 min or, often better, left at room temperature for a considerable time. When reaction is complete, the cold mixture is treated with ice-water, and the product that seperates is collected and recrystallized solvents used were alcohol, 1-butanol, dioxan, benzene, and acetone. [Pg.638]

Butyl diglycol [112-34-5] [2-(2-butoxyethoxy)ethanol, diethylene glycol monobutyl ether] is a clear, colorless, neutral liquid with a pleasantly mild odor. It is miscible with water and organic solvents, including aliphatic compounds. Butyl diglycol has a high solvency for cellulose nitrate, cellulose ethers, chlorinated rubber, poly(vinyl acetate), polyacrylates, and some oils, as well as for many synthetic resins, natural resins, and dyes. Polystyrene, poly(vinyl chloride), fats, and most oils are not dissolved. [Pg.369]

From the results obtained in depositions with different solvents, the solution (ethanol and diethylene glycol monobutyl ether) was chosen to use in the protocol of multi-layer depositions with intermediate heat treatment. [Pg.155]

This test is often called the compatibility index when solvents other than water are used. Isopropanol/water, 50 50, is generally used for less water-soluble materials. Mixtures of water and ethylene glycol monobutyl ether or diethylene glycol monobutyl ether... [Pg.73]
