This resource provides an integrated collection of resources to help instructors make efficient and effective use of their time. This DVD features all artwork from the text, including figures and tables in PDF format for high-resolution printing, as well as four prebuilt PowerPoint presentations. The first presentation contains the images embedded within PowerPoint slides. The second includes a complete lecture outline that is modifiable by the user. The final two presentations contain worked in-chapter sample exercises and questions to be used with Classroom Response Systems. PowerPoint is a presentation tool that is included in Microsoft Office. Just as it is easy to edit, rewrite, and print documents in Word, these features are also available when preparing slide presentations. To prepare overhead transparencies for oral presentations, you can use spirit-based markers and acetate sheets. Transparencies are still used for presentations made with overhead projectors, even with the explosion of programs like PowerPoint (from Microsoft) and peripherals like LCD computer displays, both of which let you show a whole roomful of people exactly what s on your computer screen. Actually, though, PowerPoint still has an option to print slides, and you can use any program you want to print anything you want to a transparent sheet of plastic or vinyl for use with an overhead projector.
