In 1986, in-core sipping equipment designed and manufactured by Siemens KWU was purchased [22,23]. Since then, fiiU core sipping tests have been performed in all cases where the occurrence of a leak has been demonstrated by operational data. The decision to perform sipping tests was taken based on primary coolant activity measurements obtained during reactor operation and iodine spike analysis. [Pg.28]

As an example of a commercially available unit, a SOFC based triple-generation module made by Siemens is located on the premises of TurboCare in Turin. A chart of the system is presented in Fig. 5.94. This unit has a relatively long history and has operated at a few locations in Europe. A photo of the device and operational data of the unit are presented in Fig. 5.95 and Table 5.9, respectively. [Pg.179]

Powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) data were collected via a Siemens D5005 diffractometer with CuKa radiation (A. = 1.5418 A). Routine transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Z-contrast microscopy were carried out using an HITACH HD-2000 scanning transmission electron microscope (STEM) operated at 200 kV. Nitrogen gas adsorption measurements (Micromeritics Gemini) were used to determine the surface area and porosity of the catalyst supports. Inductively coupled plasma (ICP) analysis was performed via an IRIS Intrepid II XSP spectrometer (Thermo Electron Corporation). [Pg.58]

The ReDS system developed by Siemens AG uses the real-time shop-floor data for another purpose as well (besides rescheduling). It uses the data in the form of a long-term feedback in order to make adjustments in the heuristics employed. This learning mechanism enables a scheduling system to mold itself over time into the shape of the factory in which it is operating. [Pg.1734]

For C-arm CT data acquisition using an Artis zee system (Siemens AG, Healthcare Sector, Forchheim, Germany), the FD is mostly operated either in a 2 x 2 binning mode or in a 4 x 4 binning mode. For 2x2 binning, usually used for 3D C-arm imaging in the head. [Pg.37]

As Hybrex requires a certain operation system (Windows NT) and Microsoft s Office suite, it is difficult to supply a potential customer with a demo version running on any client. Also the material database used by Hybrex is not intended to be supplied to anyone, because it holds a lot of Siemens know how and research data of the last two decades flow curves, material values etc., valuable and strictly confidential data, Siemens would not want to give outside. Solutions like dongles for the software cause logistic problems. Encryption of the material database solved this issue, but perhaps are not safe for all time. [Pg.888]

For data input in fixed cycle operation the AMI and Siemens package type 1907 shown in Fig. 28 has been designed. With this device and a few additional components a pulse counter, frequency meter, chronometer or digital voltmeter can be built. [Pg.116]
