Films of polyphthalaldehyde, sensitized by cationic photoinitiators, have been imaged at 2-5-mJ/cm in the deep ultraviolet (DUV) (see Section 3.10), at 1 pC/cm (20 kV) electron beam radiation and at an unspecified dose of Al-A x-ray radiation. The ultimate utility of this "self-developing" resist system will depend upon its efficacy as an etch barrier. It seems clear that such materials would not serve as adequate etch masks for...

To develop as a manager you have to attend to both the personal and professional sides - who you are as well as what you know and can do. Peter Drucker has observed that development is always self-development (1989 184). An educational course in, say, marketing, finance, personnel, operations scheduling, quality management, economics, business policy or business ethics will develop you personally as well as intellectually. New understanding is a transforming experience. 

Self-development is thus in part about improving your knowledge and skills. It is also about improving your capacity to use them in an effective way. It is learning more about how your world of work functions and how you can affect it. It is also learning more about yourself - how you perform in your world of work and how you might need to change in order to be more effective. 

This kind of anticipatory learning serves a further valuable purpose for self-development. It gives you a baseline of intentions against which, in later reflection, you can compare what actually happened. Without advance consideration of what you are trying to achieve you can have little basis for evaluating the significance of an event. Through the match or mismatch of purpose and outcome you will learn and develop.
