SEARCH TEXT activity

DOCK search of enzyme-inhibitor active site as described in text. [Pg.327]

His main current complaints are that he cannot look for structures in WOS. He would like to have a plug-in that would retrieve all the full text of articles that he has located in a WOS search. Currently it takes lots of effort and clicks to go from the citations discovered in a search to pull in all the articles, and when they are downloaded, they have cryptic filenames. He feels it would be useful to have available a history of his search activities along with the search terms that would be automatically stored as the day went along. The ability to call up a previous search history in the rare instance that he would want to find again something he had a hard time locating earlier would be useful. [Pg.174]

In the simplest sense, searching chemical information consists of (IXinding structures or reactions that meet the chemist s search criteria and/or (2) finding data that meets the search criteria. Data searching (numbers and text) is a well-established informatics activity, supported by spreadsheets, word processors, and relational database systems. Chemical structures and reactions are a unique form of data. Searching for full or partial matches to structures, models, and reactions requires highly specialized databases and search techniques. [Pg.373]

The Gold Sheet Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Quality Control. 1967-. Chevy Chase, MD F-D-C Reports. Monthly. This newsletter focuses on discussions of quality control policies and procedures and compliance issues in the United States. It also reports on significant FDA enforcement activities related to GMP, such as Warning Letters. The Gold Sheet is available by subscription in hardcopy format or, alternatively, through a Web-based platform for searching. The full text of both current and back issues is also directly searchable in the F-D-C Reports database online (see below). [Pg.125]

Apart from text searches, both SWISS-PROT and TrEMBL can be queried by sequence analysis tools as well as protein identification and characterization tools. Tools like Peptldent or FindMod (see Section 4.4) take advantage of the annotation of SWISS-PROT/TrEMBL to improve their capacities of identifying and characterizing active chains and proteins annotated to be post-translationally modified. This is better than basing their computations and predictions merely on the precursor protein sequences. [Pg.538]

This text has been prepared for operators and research workers in industry. I have attempted to survey principles and practices involved in the use of active carbon with the belief that an insight into the, underlying features may suggest possible improvements in existing applications and also stimulate a search for new procedures. [Pg.402]

Instructor s Resource on CD/DVD (0-13-147875-3) Prepared by Rizalia Klausmeyer of Baylor University and Jo Blackburn of Richland College. This lecture resource provides a fully searchable and integrated collection of resources to help you make efficient and effective use of your lecture preparation time, as well as to enhance your classroom presentations and assessment efforts. This resource features almost all the art from the text, including tables two pre-built PowerPoint presentations PDF files of the art, animations, movies, molecules, and the Instructor s Resource Manual Word files. This CD also features a search-engine tool that enables you to find relevant resources via a number of different parameters, such as key terms, learning objectives, figure numbers, and resource type (e.g.. Media Activities). This CD/DVD set also contains the TestGen, a computerized version of the Test Item File that enables professors to create and tailor exams to their needs. [Pg.1325]

PubMed provides free access to MEDLINE. It also includes articles from other sources. Pubmed is helpful for searching additional information on therapeutic relevance of active substances. It contains abstracts and links to full-text articles. [Pg.841]

Much is already written about activated carbon such that the Google search engine will offer over one million pages from the Internet. These pages are mostly descriptive and uncoordinated. Currently, there exists a need for a text which establishes a fiamework into which factual information can be located and explained. Further, carbon science has expanded rapidly in recent years with considerable relevance to an understanding of activated carbon. Again, these information are mostly uncoordinated and need to be assimilated into a comprehensive story. This assimilation is the purpose of this book. [Pg.539]
