After being set up for cutting material to a specified length, the power hacksaw will operate automatically without need for an operator until all the material loaded on the carriage has been cut. Horizontal band saws are one of the most widely used sawing machines for cutoff operations. These band saws range from small manually operated machines to large, fully automatic production machines. Vertical band saws are also used but are primarily manually controlled machines used in tool rooms and shops for maintenance and low production work. 

Before use, all the polymer pellets were dried at Ta +20 K for at least 48 h. Then, sheets of controlled thickness B were firstly compression molded under vacuum at Ta + 50 K and then cooled down slowly through the glass transition region. Next, samples of dimensions suitable for the SENB tests were cut from the sheets with a diamond saw, machined to produce the notch, and annealed once more at Ta +20 K for 72 h. The purpose of this thermal treatment is double first, it allows the elimination of the residual stresses induced by sample pressing and machining and secondly, it permits removal of eventual moisture which is known to affect dramatically the SAPA mechanical properties [12]. The pre-crack was produced in the samples just before testing. 

It may thus be possible to predict that, even if iron powder or rusted iron arising from woodworking implements made of iron, such as sawing machines, is mixed into some one of the sawdu.sts above referred to, the liability of the sawdust to spontaneous ignition will not be promoted. 

Wire saw machines, similar in principle to those used for cutting stone, are also used widely for large demolition operations. When using a circular saw, there is a limit on the depth of cut which can be made due to the presence of the drive spindle...

Cutting workstations employ NC cutting/sawing machines and presses. Once the different pieces are cut as required, they are placed on a template or jig located on top of a conveyor. A pick-and-place robot is employed for this purpose. The conveyor will then move this arrangement towards the press which automatically detects the arrival of the panel and performs the assembly. After assembly is complete, the panel or truss moves to the other end of the press where two robots place insulation (when necessary), place drywall or plywood cover, and fasten the panel.
