When environmental conditions at an exposure site differ from those used for laboratory calibrations or when calibration data for an analyte are not available, at least one SPMD per site is spiked with PRCs. The type of compounds used for PRCs and their spiking levels were discussed earlier. PRC samples and standard SPMD samples (i.e., field-deployed SPMDs) differ only by the presence of the PRCs. Handling, processing and analysis are also identical. As implied above, the purpose of the PRC sample is to provide data for estimation of in situ sampling rates of target compounds. [Pg.106]

With commercially available automatic sampling devices, large numbers of samples can be routinely analyzed by LC without operator intervention. Such equipment is popular for the analysis of routine samples (e.g., quality control of drugs), particularly when coupled with automatic data-handling systems. Automatic injectors are indispensable in unattended searching (e.g., overnight) for chromatographic parameters such as solvent selectivity, flow rate, and temperature optimization. [Pg.8]

Different spectral preprocessing and transformations available in SIMCA P-p (version 10.0, Umetrics, Sweden) were evaluated and the best approach for data handling and manipulation was determined. Data collected on the surrogate tablets were divided into a training set to generate the PLS models, and prediction set to test the PLS models. MCC powder, equilibrated at different RH, was also roller compacted at different roll speeds on a Fitzpatrick IR220 roller compactor fitted with smooth rolls. Powder feed rate and roll pressure were kept constant for all experiments. The key sample attributes measured on the surrogate tablets were also measured for the samples prepared by roller compaction. [Pg.258]

The detectors used with UPLC systems have to be able to handle very fast scanning methods because peak half-height widths of around 1 s are typically obtained with columns packed with 1.7-p.m particles. In order to accurately and reproducibly integrate an analyte peak, the detector sampling rate must be high enough to capture enough data points across the peak. Conceptually, the sensitivity increase for UPLC... [Pg.162]
