Safety practices skill level requirements

If general health and safety policies are to be incorporated into specific job practices and skill levels are to be raised to an acceptable standard, training is required. While all employees can benefit from health and safety training, special attention should be given to the training of supervisors and health and safety representatives.

Organizations follow a structured methodology to get things done. The methodology may be informal or industry best practice or may be based on some combination of concepts. The end product or service drives the process and dictates what equipment, technology, skill levels, raw materials, etc. are necessary. The requirements of a safety system are direcdy parallel to those required to maintain the quality of products and services.
