Washington, Richland, , Hanford Reservation

The DOE N-Reactor is one of the plutonium production reactors located on the Hanford Reservation near Richland, Washington. It is graphite moderated, pressurized water reactors that in addition to production of special nuclear materials also provided steam to turbine generators owned by the Washington Public Power Supply System for electric power production. Scott D. Elliott is manager of the Waste and Transportation Services Department for Duratek Federal Services at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation, Richland, Washington. Elliott has worked in the fields of nuclear operations, training, and waste treatment for 24 years and has additional experience as a nuclear facility building emergency director. The other three major activities within the waste isolation program are specific to particular sites. We are currently evaluating the potential of deep basalt flows below the Hanford reservation in the State of Washington. This work is managed by the Richland Operations Office and is being conducted by the Rockwell Hanford Company.
