Catalytic currents of the first type sometimes called regeneration currents show an increase with increasing concentration of the oxidant. At low concentration of the oxidant, increase of the limiting current as a function of concentration of the oxidant, is first nonlinear, but becomes linear above a certain concentration of the oxidant. As oxidizing agents hydrogen peroxide, chlorate, UO, and hydroxylamine were used. [Pg.128]

It is clear that, apart from the production regime, other factors may influence the freight values obtained (film type, regeneration quotes, electrolysis unit,. ..). In case of G335SF in combination with STRUCTURIX SILVERFIX, which has a maximum current of 3A and a typical response of 4 A.l/g, I5m of film per day is judged to be the maximum production to meet silver freights below 50 mg/m. ... [Pg.608]

The bulk properties of regenerated cellulose are the properties of Cellulose II which is created from Cellulose I by alkaline expansion of the crystal stmcture (97,101) (see Cellulose). The key textile fiber properties for the most important current varieties of regenerated cellulose are shown in Table 2. Fiber densities vary between 1.53 and 1.50. [Pg.353]

Currently, the most frequently used technology for SO reduction in the flue gas is a SO adsorbing additive. With such an additive, the following steps occur.Oxidation of SO to SO in the regenerator. [Pg.214]

In the presence of 6-iodo-l-phenyl-l-hexyne, the current increases in the cathodic (negative potential going) direction because the hexyne catalyticaHy regenerates the nickel(II) complex. The absence of the nickel(I) complex precludes an anodic wave upon reversal of the sweep direction there is nothing to reduce. If the catalytic process were slow enough it would be possible to recover the anodic wave by increasing the sweep rate to a value so fast that the reduced species (the nickel(I) complex) would be reoxidized before it could react with the hexyne. A quantitative treatment of the data, collected at several sweep rates, could then be used to calculate the rate constant for the catalytic reaction at the electrode surface. Such rate constants may be substantially different from those measured in the bulk of the solution. The chemical and electrochemical reactions involved are... [Pg.55]

The wet, spent regeneration gas is cooled the water is condensed out and the gas is recycled to feed for recovery. Of the removal processes that have attained commercial status, the current favorite employs a shiny of lime or limestone. The activity of the reagent is promoted by the addition of small amounts of carboxylic acids such as adipic acid. The gas and the shiny are contacted in a spray tower. The calcium salt is discarded. A process that employs aqueous sodium citrate, however, is suited for the recoveiy of elemental sulfur. The citrate solution is regenerated and recycled. Quadrant II Now / is in the reverse direction and the machine can be run in the reverse direction. Braking and regeneration are possible. For regeneration an additional bridge will be essential as discussed later. For current to flow in either direction, a full-wave rectifier w ill also be essential. [Pg.119]
