Hydrogen peroxide, as oxidizing agent

New materials are also finding application in the area of catalysis reiated to the Chemicals industry. For example, microporous [10] materials which have titanium incorporated into the framework structure (e.g. so-calied TS-1) show selective oxidation behaviour with aqueous hydrogen peroxide as oxidizing agent (Figure 5). Two processes based on these new catalytic materials have now been developed and commercialized by ENl. These include the selective oxidation of phenol to catechol and hydroquinone and the ammoxidation of cyclohexanone to e-caproiactam. [Pg.5]

An alternative method for demonstrating chemiluminescence, using potassium fer-ricyanide and hydrogen peroxide as oxidizing agents, is described in E. H. Huntress, L. N. Stanley, and A. S. Parker, Journal of Chemical Education, 11 (1934) 142. [Pg.444]

Enzymatic epoxidation of polybutadiene was demonstrated (205). Lipase CA catalyzed the oxidation of polybutadiene using hydrogen peroxide as oxidizing agent in the presence of acetic acid. [Pg.2637]

In the early studies on luminol and related hydrazides the systems used were composed of either sodium or potassium hydroxide, as base, hydrogen peroxide as the oxidizing agent (more recently molecular oxygen, hypochlorite, iodide, and permanganate have also been used), and some type of initiator or activator. This initiator was frequently hypochlorite, persulfate, a transition metal... [Pg.108]
