The draft standard was then developed so that it was possible to classify both types of film in separate groups. The first being a Classical film, the second a Wide Latitude film. Radiologic and/or endoscopic procedures are usually required to objectively document the presence of ulcers. Therapy depends on etiology. In individuals who are suspected of having tuberculosis, diagnosis should make use of a purified protein derivative skin test, chest radiograph, and sputum cultures if necessary.
