Quick contact

Light microscopy allows, in comparison to other microscopic methods, quick, contact-free and non-destmctive access to the stmctures of materials, their surfaces and to dimensions and details of objects in the lateral size range down to about 0.2 pm. A variety of microscopes with different imaging and illumination systems has been constmcted and is conunercially available in order to satisfy special requirements. These include stereo, darkfield, polarization, phase contrast and fluorescence microscopes. 

Test the Plan. Step 1 of the corrective action plan appeared to be the most difficult to achieve. Not all concentrate lots exhibited positive and negative Da values. The team quickly abandoned this approach, favoring the reduced concentrate A Da solution. The concentrate manufacture quickly contacted the pigment supplier requesting negative Da lots of color to correct the most recent positive Da material.

Ideally, media monitors work within the emergency command centers and can quickly contact the crisis manager (s) whenever they detect misinformation. If unsuccessful in convincing news organizations to alert their audiences to erroneous reports and broadcast corrections, news monitors need to enlist the help of highly placed crisis managers, who tend to have more influence with reporters, editors, and producers. 

Implement a plan for evacuation and quickly contact the local fire department if unignited and uncontrolled leakage is encountered that cannot be stopped by shutting off the closest appropriate valve or main supply valve without risk.

Recent industry advances have been reported such as the Quick Contact (QC) reaction system of the Stone and Webster Eng. Co. (Gartside, 1989). The QC system consists of a new fluidized solids unit which combines patented mixing and separation devices to produce a dilute phase reaction system capable of operating at short residence times (200 ms) and plug flow. 

The capillary containing the chloroform solution is then touched down and lifted quickly from the scratched area. If contact is maintained too long, the solution will flood the entire surface of the crystal and not just the scratched area. The object is to concentrate the pyrolyzate as much as possible. After the chloroform has evaporated after the quick contact, the process is repeated until aU of the pyrolyzate has been transferred to the crystal. 

Methods shall be implemented to ensure that control room personnel can quickly contact on-shift operators or supervisors. The alternate methods cited in Restart Criterion 1, "Emergency Communications Systems," for communicating in high noise areas may be effective in accomplishing this function. However, to avoid operator confusion, distinction shall be made between a routine and an emergency notification. 

INPO 85-017, Chapter IV and the SER restart criteria pertaining to communications require methods to be implemented to ensure the control room can quickly contact on-shift operators or supervisors. ROSI IV.8 discusses the use of the public address system for the purpose of transmitting directions to operators if telephone or face-to-face communications are impractical. In addition, the ROSI provides guidance on how to announce emergency conditions so that there is no confusion between a routine notification and an emergency announcement.
