Quick Connectors

Applications and uses automotive fuel lines, fluid transfer lines (brake, clutch, cooling), quick connectors, fittings, fasteners and clips, friction parts, pneumatic hoses, air lines, hydraulic hoses, oil and gas umbilical hoses, racket eyelets and bumpers, badminton shuttlecocks, ski top layers, shoes soles, and mechanical parts (footwear, rackets, ski industry). 

To ensure flexibility the size of the reaction and separation units and the feed and side-drawn points in column are changeable. The construction idea was to couple all equipment with quick connectors so that all devices are easy to reconnect when needed. The main facility consists of separation units connected to a series of chemical reactors. The reactors can be used as traditional prereactors followed by separation and recycle, or as side reactors closely connected to the column. The design pressure range is 0-20 bar(g) and the design temperature range is from -30°C up to 200°C. The capacity range is 5-20 litres per day. 

For this purpose, quick connectors are used, which connect and disconnect the measuring leads by simply sliding on [4]. The advantage of this principle is that the position of the connection always has to be at the same spot but not the position of the sensors, which can be freely selected in the mold insert. Figure 5.14 shows both a quick connector for the cavity pressure sensors, as well as a quick connector for cavity temperature sensors. Both quick connectors are automatically disconnected when the mold insert is removed or replaced.

Fluoroelastomers are presently widely used in the industry as 0-rings, V-rings, gaskets and other types of static and dynamic seals, as diaphragms, valve seals, hoses, coated clothes, shaft seals quick connector o-rings, dynamic sealing applications, membranes, [185], expansion joints, etc. [186]. They are also used in cars as O-rings for fuel, shaft seals and other components of fuel and transmission systems [35,58,62-65]. 

Applications and end uses include the following automotive fuel lines, fluid transfer lines (brake, clutch, cooUng), quick connectors, flttings, fasteners... 

Various fluoropolymer equipment, for example, connectors and valves, is available from laboratory suppliers (at a high price). The principle of a simple, quick, and inexpensive method for connections of electrochemical cells using PTFE tubes is shown in Fig. 4. 

While one of the most confusing steps for the new user of HPLC is deciding what equipment to order, an even more difficult and frustrating step occurs after the equipment has arrived and connections must be made between the solvent delivery system (the pump), the various columns, and the detector. For the new user quickly discovers that connections are not made with the more familiar, easy-to-use flexible plastic, but with stainless steel tubing, which cannot be cut with scissors or easily coupled with plastic connectors. Thus special tools must be used for cutting, and connections must be made with... 

The soldering iron isn t used much any more because most components have been designed to use "quick disconnect" connectors to facilitate easy replacement. 

Cables are used to connect two or more entities together. They are usually constructed of several wires encased together in a rubberized outer coating. The wires are soldered to modular connectors at both ends. These connectors are used to allow the cables to be quickly attached to the devices they connect. A... 

In this project we used Swagelok type connectors for the most part, but these could be replaced by quick connect fittings. This would be desirable for the ease of obtaining quick leak-free connections without the bother of tightening nuts and testing. However, quick connect fittings are more expensive. 

Other connectors to the tank could be used after installing the check valve in the tank. For instance, a DESO stem and body, and/or other type of quick disconnect will hold the pressure in the line and in the tank. These other connections make it possible to disengage the tank from the system to remove it and/or replace it with another tank.
