Quality specification sheets

The Superplus with its RON and MON greater than or equal to 98 and 88 respectively. These two values do not correspond to official specifications but to quality specification sheets drawn up by French auto manufacturers. Strictly according to the rules, Superplus is only a variety of a top quality Eurosuper.

The total stream and individual component flows do not normally need to be shown to a high precision on the process flow-sheet at most one decimal place is all that is usually justified by the accuracy of the flow-sheet calculations, and is sufficient. The flows should, however, balance to within the precision shown. If a stream or component flow is so small that it is less than the precision used for the larger flows, it can be shown to a greater number of places, if its accuracy justifies this and the information is required. Imprecise small flows are best shown as TRACE . If the composition of a trace component is specified as a process constraint, as, say, for an effluent stream or product quality specification, it can be shown in parts per million, ppm.

He must undertake to respect scrupulously the specifications sheet, to implement the set of measures necessary for the smooth running of the operations which are entrusted to him and not to take any action likely to affect quality of the product. 

A sub-contract agreement must be drawn up and signed jointly by the contract giver and the contract acceptor. As far as quality is concerned,it must include the specifications sheet and the necessary licenses. Any modifications of the agreement must be the subject of a written additional clause. 

In addition to the quality desired, the contract giver may indicate in the specification sheet the names of the suppliers he has approved. 

The dyes are reconstituted with high-quality anhydrous DMF by adding the volume described in the specification sheet supplied with the dye to give a final concentration of 1 nmol/pl or 1 mM. For example, 25 pi DMF is added to 25 nmol of dye (1 mM). 

Depending on the paper/board machine, the grade(s) produced and the chemistries involved, choice of retention/drainage aid may be limited by other factors - sheet formation requirements, sheet porosity specifications, sheet linting propensity, sheet bulk density, etc. Due care is required to maintain sheet quality at aU times. 

Besides the raw materials that are transformed, many other elements come to the factories, whether for packaging (tubes, bags, labels, etc.) or for the product transformation (needles, lubricants, etc.). Each of these elements should have its own complete specification sheets that allow the manufacturer to ensure the quality of the materials delivered by suppliers. These specification sheets should be part of the contract that binds the supplier with the manufacturer, to ensure the quality of the manufactured products, respect delays and avoid unforeseen problems (costs and delays) associated with the use of nonstandard raw materials. 

To keep the quality of raw materials, the specifications of materials and their testing methods should be determined and agreed hy adhesive makers and raw material makers. Standards of materials and testing methods can he used to decide the specifications. All the purchase and shipping of raw materials should he done following the specifications. For instance, inspection of raw materials are carried out based on their specifications before shipping by raw materials makers, and specification sheets of each product lot are issued. For recent novel raw materials, such as functional fillers for conductivity or flame retardancy, new standards should be established. 

All the mechanical properties described in tests for the conventional data sheet properties represented values of short-term application of forces, and, in most cases, the data obtained from such tests are used for comparative evaluation or as controlling specifications for quality determination of materials along with short-duration and intermittent-use design requirements. 

All formulas are to be written out by hand with the specific numbers in the right places on a sheet provided for the purpose, and the calculations are to be done by calculator. Caution Write the numbers exactly as printed, do not round any digits, or the quality assurance unit (a sort of corporate vice squad) will not approve the report out of fear that someone could have cheated. A validated program can be used. While an Excel spreadsheet as such needs no validation, a simple cell-formula calls for extensive tests and documentation and proof that the sheet is password protected against fraudulent manipulation. On top of that, the analyst s supervisor is required to confirm the calculation and sign off on... 

The harmonised EU safety data sheet is designed to describe systematically the hazardous properties of chemicals and to inform users about suitable and effective risk management measures. For some years this safety data sheet also has to state what (eco)toxicological standard effects have not been verified for a specific substance. The EU instrument has now been in existence for thirteen years, while the corresponding DIN predecessor had already been introduced in the 1980s. Nevertheless, many safety data sheets still indicate extensive quality shortcomings. 

The software—a program enabling computer to perform a specific task—is a critical component of a computerized system. Even a simple calculus sheet could be considered software, as it allows a computer to perform a specific task. The user of such software should take all reasonable steps to ensure that it has been produced in accordance with a system of quality assurance [13].
