Also in the 17th century John Evelyn wrote in his Herbal, "If the medicinal properties of its leaves, bark and berries were fully known, I cannot tell what our countryman could all for which he might not fetch a remedy from every hedge, either for sickness or wounds." Evelyn also claimed that elder would help assist longevity and was effective "against all infirmities, whatever."...

Many people, inclnding myself, take substantial amonnts of ascorbic acid, since it is cheap and qnite safe below the UL level, in the hope, nnsnpported by mnch scientihc evidence, that its antioxidant properties will contribnte to health and longevity. 

The fact that the Sun is in the plasma state means that it has the flexibility of a gas. This flexibility in turn ensures its longevity. Indeed, the size of the particles making it up, i.e. separate nuclei and electrons, is much less than the mean distance separating them, and this allows us to identify it with a gas. (Non-baryonic dark matter, with no electrical properties, cannot be ionised. There is no such thing as a dark matter plasma.)... 

One of the advantages of using local breeds is that they are usually very well adapted to regional conditions. They are often better suited than modern breeds especially under harsh conditions. This could be also true for regions where particular breeds are not native (e.g. Brahman cattle in Australia). Local breeds can have some unknown properties or traits that will be important. They often have properties like disease resistance or longevity that are important for sustainable agriculture systems. Furthermore, rare breeds are part of the cultural history of the country of origin. 

There is also no conclusive evidence that inorganic tin compounds have carcinogenic properties. However, there are data which indicate that organotin compounds (bis(tributyltin)oxide and triphenyltin hydroxide) may be tumorigenic at low levels of tin. Bis(tributyltin)oxide (2.5 mg/kg/day) and triphenyl tin hydroxide (0.3-6.2 mg/kg/day) were associated with pituitary adenomas in rats of both sexes with exposures of 104-106 weeks. When triphenyltin hydroxide was administered, the pituitary adenomas were present only in the females and contributed to decreased longevity. 

Any new formulation may be evaluated against the properties of a serum-substituted medium for growth and productivity. As well as growth promotion, a serum supplement in medium may also lead to a reduction in cell death by apoptosis and this allows extended culture longevity. This can enable a substantial increase in recombinant protein productivity.
