Project history

Many companies have developed their own factored estimates using computer spreadsheets based upon their in-house experience and cost database information that they have built from company project history. For detailed estimates, the job is outsourced to design-construction companies that have the staff to perform those estimates.

Group A elements address the general issues of project management and document control and provide a general overview of the project history. The QAPP may be a controlled document, i.e. its distribution is limited, and every issued copy is tracked and accounted for, hence a need for a distribution list. The list of acronyms and abbreviations is also part of Group A elements.

The Introduction (overleaf) sets the scene for the approach I am taking in this chapter. I use a strong philosophical framework to sequence the topic in an order to develop abstract notions after establishing the chemical phenomena. The chapter is based on the outcomes of a European project, History and Philosophy in Science Teaching (HIPST), in which I created and elaborated the ideas, working with a group of teachers and their classes. 

At any point, individual users can choose to commit their version of a model or project to a repository, which then captures the changes and records them into the project history. Multiple users can read and write to the repository as needed. Users can bring their local models up-to-date from the repository as they choose. 

Project History. Dow Chemical is a major industrial generator and consumer of electric power. It requires large amounts of power for electrolytic cell production of chemicals such as chlorine and magnesium. Most of Dow s power generation relies on natural gas-fired combined-cycle technology.

This handbook covers such topics as natural resources, economics, development, productivity, and diversity of coastal zones. The book discusses three aspects of management strategies, methods, and information. The final section is a collection of project histories. 

Due to this systematic approach, project history can easily be processed If, for example, a sub-contractor claims not to have been informed about a certain technical detail during the order phase, the respective document will be found in the search mode of the FDP-system simply by inputting the keyword or period in which the document had been prepared. The protracted manual search in ring binders will be omitted. 

Our approach allowed developers to see their own project history visualized. After interacting with CodeSaw from somewhere between 30 minutes to one hour, participants completed an online survey. We asked users to complete the survey no more than one hour after they finished using CodeSaw. Participants were free to continue using CodeSaw after completing the survey. Because we wanted to do an in situ study, and the participants were scattered across the world, we could not do interviews. So we replaced interviews with the best thing we could an in-depth online survey. The survey asked participants about their satisfaction and enjoyment with CodeSaw. In addition, the survey asked participants about the effectiveness of CodeSaw in visualizing their community.
