Product returns

Sintering. The charge for sintering is prepared by blending selected concentrates, smelter by-products, returned sinter, flue dust, and when required, additional fuel such as coke bree2e. The blend is then peUeti2ed in preparation for sintering. [Pg.35]

Return processes associated with returning or receiving products returned for some reason. [Pg.10]

If the flask fills up with condensed steam, it should be cooled, the contents filtered, and the product returned to the flask. The process of disintegration can be hastened by breaking up the lumps with a flattened stirring rod. [Pg.3]

Radioactivity ( H or "C-1,2-dibromoethane) was detected in spermatozoa collected approximately 1 week following the initial oral dose (Amir 1973). These results indicate that 1,2-dibromoethane exerts spermicidal action during the process of spermiogenesis and sperm maturation. This conclusion was supported by the evidence that the percentage of sperm abnormalities was highest when little 1,2-dibromoethane radioactivity could be detected in sperm. In addition, reduction in sperm concentration was more pronounced in adult bulls than in young bulls, and the period of recovery was longer in adult animals (Amir 1975). In another study, bulls were fed 2 mg/kg/day 1,2-dibromoethane for 12 months followed by 4 mg/kg 1,2-dibromoethane every other day until they reached the age of 14-16 months. The semen samples examined revealed low sperm density, structural abnormalities, and low mobility (Amir and Volcani 1965). Sperm production returned to normal as early as 10 days postexposure (Amir and Lavon 1976 Amir et al. 1977). [Pg.40]

The study using Pt/C was further extended by modifying the amount of KOH. The base also influenced the selectivity by reducing the amount from 50% to less than 5% in the aqueous phase, the final pH of the reaction mixture remaining between 8 and 13. In this range, the preferred product returned to be the ketone (Figure 6.23). ... [Pg.149]

Dissociation of the product returns the enzyme to its initial state. [Pg.318]

Recovery - The degree to which a rubber product returns to its normal dimensions after being distorted. [Pg.270]

Evaluation of returned goods should be part of the APR process. Product returned from warehouses, distribution centers, consumers, doctor s offices, internal inventory, and of course the market should all be captured in the APR report. [Pg.526]

The FDA has been interested in Web enablement of computer apphcations. Several inspections questioned client controls for intranet and Internet access. The FDA also appears to be looking more critically at distribution systems for pharmaceutical and healthcare products. The MHRA has noted that validation requirements for distribution systems are generally not well understood and consequently the vahdation of these systems is often deficient. Distribution systems are vital components of the supply chain and companies should address their validation accordingly. In particular, focus should be placed on validating product return and recall processes. [Pg.41]

Substrates such as H2 which can form strong agostic complexes are expected to inhibit the oxidation of more weakly bound substrates by sequestering the active oxidant (Scheme 9). In fact, the oxidation of cyclohexane was inhibited by the presence of H2 [137]. On removal of the H2 from the reaction system, the rate of cyclohexanol production returns to its original value in the absence of H2, demonstrating that the inhibition is reversible. The pressure at which the rate was half that of the uninhibited reaction (P1/2) was 1.4 atm at 0°C [137]. When H2 was replaced by D2, the P1/2 value became smaller (1.0 atm) [137]. Such an inverse isotope effect can be compared with the value (0.78) reported for H2/D2 binding to a tungsten... [Pg.1605]

Most of the scrubber liquor is cooled (105°F) and recycled in the raw state. Part of the cooled liquor is filtered to remove accumulated ash particles and flows through the pH meter, conductivity meter, and then the cooling spray. Another portion (without cooling) is filtered and flows to the regenerator at a controlled rate. As shown, sodium hydroxide solution also flows to the regenerator at a controlled rate. The mixture of solutions is heated to about 220°F, and chemical reaction releases the ammonia and steam these products return to the system under the force created by their vapor pressures. [Pg.199]

Fuel Recycle Requirements. We asstime that the final product returned for fuel fabrication and recycle is a mixed uranium-plutonium dioxide material, partially decontaminated from fission products. The questions of fissile material enrichment, radiation levels, and required handling facilities are not addressed. [Pg.240]

The necessary assessment and decision regarding the disposition of such products must be taken by a suitably authorized person. The nature of the product returned to the distributor, any special storage conditions required, its condition and history and the time elapsed since it was issued, should all be taken into account in this assessment. Where any doubt arises over the quality of a pharmaceutical product it should not be considered suitable for reissue or reuse. [Pg.199]
