Precipitation (Age) Hardening Alloys. Only a few copper alloys are capable of responding to precipitation or age hardening (7). Those that do have the constitutional characteristics of beiag siagle-phase (soHd solution) at elevated temperatures and are able to develop iato two or more phases at lower temperatures that are capable of resisting plastic deformation. In the last decade the chemistry of aluminium salts hydrolysis related to the application of the products of their partial hydrolysis in coagulation has been studied in detail [5]. In a former study, we have prepared very highly loaded nickel catalysts, efficient for the hydrogenation of edible oil, by a (DP) method and examined the influence of the carrier surface area on the metallic dispersion and on the metal interaction with the silica. Traditionally, metallic coatings serve only one or two functions. For example, zinc has excellent corrosion resistance and functions as a sacrificial anode (Tsura, 2005). Zinc galvanizing provides sacrificial cathodic protection and acts as a barrier (Jones, 1996) but does not nsnally supply inhibitor ions.
