Polymeric dyes water soluble type

These poly(amide-imide) materials were extensively studied in the 1980s in various aspects (e.g. synthesis and preparation of blends with other polymeric materials), [2, 88-96] demonstrating the increasing interest in these materials. More recently, water soluble polyamides and poly(amide-imide)s [97] as well as polyhydroxyimides [98] structurally analogous to those described in Fig. 4.18 have been reported. Additionally, photoactive polymers were prepared by the condensation of a maleopimaric adduct with azo-dye type diamines [99]. The levopimaric... [Pg.79]

Each of the products whose synthesis is illustrated in Schemes 6.2 and 6.3 is a coloured cationic species. When the counteranion is chloride, the products are water-soluble and useful as basic (cationic) dyes for the eoloration of acrylic fibres. Precipitation of cationic dyes of these types from aqueous solution using large polymeric counteranions, notably phosphomolybdates, phosphotungstates and phos-phomolybdotungstates, leads to a range of highly insoluble red. [Pg.159]

Generally, there are two basic types of inks. The first type contains finely dispersed carbon black or colored pigments in both solvent and water based systems. Pronounced improvements have been achieved in stabilizing aqueous pigment formulations for ink-jet applications by adding specific polymeric dispersing agents [18], The second type of ink is based on water or solvent soluble dyes. [Pg.503]
