Figure 15.12 Diffraction diagram of lithium measured at high pressures and low temperatures. The upper diagram shows the raw data after integration of a 2D imaging plate pattern, the lower intensities result after back ground correction. The background is attributed to the Compton scattering of the diamonds. Figure 15.12 Diffraction diagram of lithium measured at high pressures and low temperatures. If there is deep and wide spread soil contamination, samples are collected from a 20 cm2 surface with a showel, to a dept of 1-5 cm. For an approximate density of contamination in a region, diagonal sampling is recommended from different areas. There are available iron plate patterns with 20 or 40 cm2 holes. [Pg.13]

Figure 13.18. Developments of these two important strength properties were achieved with the trial plates at a maximum refining intensity of 5.7 Ws/m and NSE range between 100 and 200 kWh/t. With the existing plate pattern (BW and TW results), a similar or lower level of strength development was achieved at more than twice the net specific refining energy. Figure 13.18. Ren et al. reported the fabrication of a Fresnel lens using a photomask with zone plate patterns [9]. The LC monomer in the zones cured with more UV intensity would lead to smaller LC droplets. Conversely, the zones with weaker UV exposure would result in larger nanoscale droplets. When a uniform voltage was applied to the zone plate, the refractive index (or phase) of the... [Pg.116]

To date, most horizontal eqnipment is designed aronnd panel plating. Pattern plating has its advantages and is being worked on by a series of eqnipment snpplieis and conld be available in the near fnture. [Pg.696]

As well, Fuh and his colleagues have demonstrated a highly efficient, polarization-independent, and electrically tunable Fresnel lens based on DDLC (Figure 5.29) [41]. The key element is a photomask imbedded with Fresnel zone plate patterns (Figure 5.29). [Pg.131]
