Organize End Users

The prestudy should begin with end-users. These may not be direct customers for an organization, but they ultimately determine the success or failure of the product. To understand what will make the supply chain more effective, one has to understand the motivations of these users.

The third transition procedure defines the rules under which competitive suppliers of electricity can compete for end users. There are two polar models that are often debated for power market organization the direct access (or bilateral contracts) regime, and the Poolco regime. Under direct access, consumers enter into direct contracts with competitive suppliers of electricity, and competitive providers of electricity enter into contracts with, and pay an access fee to, the local (regulated) distribution company for the use of local power lines. 

Pharmaceutical substances form the backbone of modern medicinal therapy. Most traditional pharmaceuticals are low molecular mass organic chemicals (Table 1.1). Although some (e.g. aspirin) were originally isolated from biological sources, most are now manufactured by direct chemical synthesis. Two types of manufacturing companies thus comprise the traditional pharmaceutical sector the chemical synthesis plants, which manufacture the raw chemical ingredients in bulk quantities, and the finished product pharmaceutical facilities, which purchase these raw bulk ingredients, formulate them into final pharmaceutical products, and supply these products to the end-user. 

This chapter has mainly focused on the categories of compounds used to address various medical conditions, their mode of action, and side effects. UntH recently, research on the use of PPCPs has mainly focused on their beneficial and adverse effects on the end users— both humans and livestock. The mode of action of these compounds in these target organisms has mostly been well studied, with little regard to whether similar targets exist in lower vertebrates and invertebrates. 

In the new 9001 200 standard there are several new requirements designed to ensure a higher focus on the end user. In addition, the revised standards series places greater emphasis on the role of top management to develop and improve its operational systems and establish measurable objectives at appropriate levels throughout the organization. 

In addition to this, related areas such as liquid CO2 and C02-expanded solvents should not be overlooked. Many additives and complex modifiers are being used to facilitate reactions in SCCO2 and perhaps the use of a small amount of organic solvent (perhaps from a bio-feedstock) could be justified in order to reduce the cost of a process and therefore lead to its uptake by industry. In addition to this, continued research into biphasic systems C02-water, C02-ionic liquids, CO2-PEG/surfactants and CC -solids (including heterogeneous catalysts) is needed to deliver pure products and reduced cost to future end-users of this technology. 

Analysis of the epoxy adhesive markets is difficult because so many market segments fragment the industry and because it is difficult to confine manufacturers, distributors, and end users into specific categories. However, there are several organizations that periodically publish market reports on the adhesives industry including epoxy adhesives.14... 

The target audience for the TrainMiC seminars is measurement practitioners from laboratories, technical assessors involved in accreditation, and end users of measurement data from public bodies or enforcement agencies. These seminars are organized in various countries in collaboration with the IRMM by the local partners, such as NMIs, Universities or NABs. 

Other Design Parameters Facility design parameters that support the process within the clean room should be established by the user organization. Parameters such as temperature, humidity, lighting requirements, sound level, and/or vibration may be process driven or comfort driven and therefore are selected to accommodate specific process or comfort requirements as determined by the end user.
