Objectives of the organization

The term objectives is not defined in ISO 8402 but in ISO/DIS 9000 2000 (soon to replace ISO 8402) quality objectives are defined in ISO 9004 as key elements of quality such as fitness of use, performance, safety, and reliability. It also mentions the calculation and evaluation of costs associated with all quality objectives. It goes on to suggest that specific quality objectives be documented and be consistent with quality policy as well as other objectives of the organization. You can then go on to set new objectives. 

Successful Quality Management programs usually have clearly defined missions and objectives. Of the organizations that have committed to integration, we have found no single example that meets our needs. The following mission statement and goals have been adapted from several sources.

Another dimension of feasibility, projected schedule feasibility, relates to project duration. The purpose of this assessment is to determine whether the timelines and due dates can be met and that meeting those dates will be sufficient to meet the objectives of the organization. For example, it could be that the system must be developed in time to meet a regulatory deadline or must be completed at a certain point in a business cycle, such as a holiday or a point in the year when new products are typically introduced to market. 

A safety metrics program consists of identifying the goals and objectives of the organization. Risk Criteria Terms of reference against which the significance of a risk is evaluated. Risk criteria is based on organizational objectives, derived from external and internal context. Commonly determined by the need to comply with standards, laws, policies, and objectives of the organization.
