Nightmares sweating

Side effects include dyskinesias, orthostatic hypotension, dizziness, nausea, insomnia, sleep attacks, pathologic gambling, discoloration of urine/sweat, and psychiatric effects (confusion, hallucinations, nightmares, and altered behavior). Dyskinesias caused by adding other PD drugs to levodopa may be improved by decreasing the levodopa dose. Motor complications occur in about 40% of patients within 4 to 6 years of starting levodopa.1,8,24,25,37... 

Patients receiving bedtime insulin should be monitored for hypoglycemia by asking about nocturnal sweating, palpitations, and nightmares, as well as the results of SMBG. 

The most common side effect of pentazocine is sedation resulting from an interaction with the K-receptor. Also observed are sweating, dizziness, psychotomimetic effects, anxiety, nightmares, and headache. Nausea and vomiting are less frequent than with morphine. Respiratory depression and increased heart rate, body temperature, and blood pressure accompany overdose. Naloxone is effective in reducing the respiratory depression but requires the use of higher doses than for morphine overdose.

Abrupt withdrawal after prolonged therapy may produce effects i ncl udi ng markedly increased dreaming, nightmares or insomnia, tremor, sweating, vomiting, hallucinations, delirium, seizures, and status epilepticus. 

In particular, individuals taking nitrazepam (Mogadon) often report an increase in the incidence of nightmares, especially during the first week of use. Flurazepam (Dalmane, Novoflupam, Somnol) also occasionally causes an increase in nightmares, as well as anxiety, irritability, tachycardia, sweating, and garrulousness. 

Various somatic complaints have been reported in patients in whom neuroleptic drugs are abruptly withdrawn (SEDA-20, 44). The incidence of these complaints varies widely in different reports, from 0 to 75%. Common complaints include headache, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, insomnia, abdominal pain, rhinorrhea, and muscle aches. On rare occasions, the symptoms resemble those of benzodiazepine withdrawal (appetite change, dizziness, tremulousness, numbness, nightmares, a bad taste in the mouth, fever, sweating, vertigo, tachycardia, and anxiety), but it is possible that in some of the reported cases there was actually benzodiazepine withdrawal. Indications Vacuity taxation, vacuity vexation, inability to sleep. Insomnia, nervous exhaustion, night sweats, poor memory, nightmares, rapid heart palpitations, crying and irritability in teething infants, neurasthenia, and schizophrenia... 

Effects Tire mixed agonist-antagonist drugs usually cause sedation at analgesic doses. Dizziness, sweating, and nausea may also occur, and anxiety, hallucinations, and nightmares are possible adverse effects. Respiratory depression may be less intense than with... 

Systemic effects which may occur from cholinergic eye-drops include nausea, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, muscle spasm and weakness, sweating, lacrimation, salivation, hypotension, bradycardia, bronchial constriction, respiratory failure and nightmares. Ocular effects, contributing to the decrease in lOP, are pupillary constriction, ciliary muscle contraction, dilatation of the conjunctival and iris blood vessels and increased aqeous outflow. The visual complications include accommodative spasm, myopia and reduced visual acuity changes in vision sensitivity, dark adaptation and visual fields may occur (20 ).
