Night-vision systems

Night-vision systems have already been introduced in very low volumes in some upscale automobiles. Their function is based on either infrared-sensitive array detectors or a CMOS camera combined with active near-infrared illumination of the scene. The night vision approach further completes the idea of a sensitive car . 

In addition to remote controls, infrared-technology applications include peripheral connectivity for personal computers, night-vision systems, medical-imaging applications, military tracking systems, interactive game controllers, and saunas. 

The military has always supported wireless communications research, such as the development of radar during World War II. Military research led to the development of the modern infrared night-vision systems and most recently research has been focused on and has made great progress in developing wireless control systems for planes and vehicles. IR astronomy uses the 1 /xm-1 mm part of the IR band to study celestial objects by their IR emissions. IR detectors are used in night vision systems, intruder alarm systems, weather forecasting, and missile guidance systems. IR photography uses multilayered color film, with an IR sensitive emulsion in the wavelengths between 700 and 900 nm, for medical and forensic applications and for aerial surveying. 

In these data, the number of automobile manufacturers that adopt the HUD system is grradually increasing. The application to trains is also proposed. Furthermore, on the basis of improvement of the optictd system and combiner, this system has been developed into the night vision system which catches the figure of a pedestrian or an animal and projects its image on a windshield in night driving.
