National reporting systems Agency

I Coimtries have national reporting systems. In the UK the Committee for the Safety of Medicines/Medicine and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (http //www.mca.gov.uk/) encourage notification of possible adverse reactions for new products (indicated by black triangles ) using a yellow cards reporting system.

CDC has several data collection and analysis resources. An agency within CDC is the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC). Its mission is to prevent violence and injury and reduce their impacts. The agency operates an online database of injury data and statistics called Web-based Injury Statistics Query and Reporting System (WISQARS). This is an interactive database system that provides customized reports of injury-related data.

The National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) reporting requirements for effluent testing allow alternate methods of analysis to be substituted for the prescribed methods if prior approval has been obtained from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) regional administrator having jurisdiction where the discharge occurs. 

Pressure increased for the TGA to free up the regulatory system for prescription medicines, in particular, the 1990 report by the Australian National Coimcil on AIDS Working Party on the Availability of HIV /AIDS Treatments recommended that a notification scheme be introduced for clinical trials of unapproved products that had already been approved by respected agencies overseas.
