National certification procedures

In recent years, the three-level system of NDT experts certification, which corresponds to the EN 473, is being introduced m Ukraine The unified Rules of NDT Experts Certification will be introduced in the near future. This work is headed by the State Committee of Ukraine on Labour Safety), and with the aim of the most expedient transition to EN 473, the National Certification Committee of Ukraine on NDT was established by the initiative of US NDT TD. The Committee has the tasks of preparing the programs, procedures, questionnaires for carrying out the certification. It is a non-profit organisation which is in charge of the methodological issues of certification m the US NDT TD. 

The certification procedure for seven trace metals (Ba, Ca, Li, Mg, Mn, Na and Sr) in the certified reference material FEBS-1 (National Research Council Canada, Institute for National Measurement Standards, Ottawa, Canada) based on fish otolith matrix by isotope dilution - ICP-MS in comparison to ICP optical emission spectrometry and X-ray fluorescence analysis, is described by Sturgeon et al4X The isotope dilution technique is also employed for species analysis in biological systems,46 e.g., for the determination of mercury species in tuna material,54 or in aquatic systems using cold vapour ICP-MS.55... 

The steels used for this pressure range are beyond the scope of the national codes and have been approved by an individual testing and certification procedure. 

Registration of the importer. This involves the inspection and certification of the importer within the EU by an approved certification body. The inspection covers the offices of the operation as well as any ancillary storage and distributions sites, especially if the handling of bulk materials such as grain is involved. On completion of the certification procedure, the body registers the importer with the national control body, for example, UKROFS in the UK. 

Following the already existing legislation the national legislation procedure starts after the EU centralized procedure has been accomplished and the EMEA Certificate for Medicinal Product has been issued.
