Named association records

When using elements of records in expressions, selected names are also used. Note that aggregate assignment must be used to assign all elements of a record at once. Named associations can be used in such an assignment as normal. See the examples below. 

Three years after introduction of aspirin into therapy, Hirschberg in Poznan, now in Poland, described the first case of a transient, acute angioedema/urticaria, occurring shortly after ingestion of aspirin. Reports of anaphylactic reactions to aspirin soon followed. The other major type of adverse reaction, acute bronchospasm, was described in the second decade of the 20th century. In 1920, Van der Veer reported the first death due to aspirin. The association of aspirin sensitivity, asthma and nasal polyps was first recorded by Widal in 1922. This clinical entity, later named the aspirin triad was popularized in 1968 by Samter and Beers [3], who presented a... 

The associations may represent real-world relationships if we asked Jo some deep question about lettuce curling, she should now know the answer. Or associations can represent software there is now a row in a database table saying that Jo has completed the lettuce-curling course, or Jo s name is in a record somewhere. The useful aspect of associations is that we don t have to say exactly how they are realized, but we can still make meaningful statements about how actions affect them.

The left element on each line is a name for the field (or record) which is shown in the right element. The ORDER of this group is 2. The OPERAND list used for this example was the numbers 4 and 5. The Gensym symbols for the two group elements are stored in the GROUP-LIST field. As was explained earlier, property lists were attached to each of these which contained the multiplication table and other information. The elements of the CLASS-LIST and CHARACTER-LIST fields contain the information indicated by their names. In the above examples, we did not work with the subgroup of S2, so NIL is stored there but the direct product name S3-DP-S2 is stored in the field SUPERGROUPS. Attached to this name (not shown) is the association list for the correlation between the representations, which was used for the construction of Table IV. 

Mineral A naturally occurring element or compound defined by its chemical composition and crystal structure (see chapter 2). By custom in recent times, mineral species have been given names ending in ite. Each year, about 100 new species are proposed, and usually about half are accepted by the International Mineralogical Association Commission on New Names as bona fide new species. The Glossary of Mineral Species (Fleischer, 1987) is a current source of information. Updates are published annually in the Mineralogical Record. 

Records the employee s name and password, the date that password/security training was given, the security level or clearance associated with the employee, the date any entries or changes were made to the log, and the security supervisor s initials... 

The name of J. A. Le Bel also is associated with this particular idea, but the record shows that Le Bel actually opposed the tetrahedral formulations, although, simultaneously with van t Hoff, he made a related very important contribution, as will be discussed in Chapter 5. 

In this case, reports are paper-based. The operator/user may record each significant step of the computer-related operation and/or critical outputs. Paper records and associated electronic records are retained, based the requirements of the applicable predicate rule. In hybrid systems, one approach to the signature/records linkage is by referencing the file(s) as part of the report. The reference may include the name, and creation date and time of the files associated with the batch report. Modifications to any referenced electronic file will invalidate the approval of the associated batch report.
