Multiple viewers

The column layout, illustrated in figure 10.1, is modeled after a newspaper thus, it should be familiar to most readers. The column format is used by the vast majority of authors. Columns make it easier for multiple viewers, standing side by side, to read your poster at once. The title, authors, and affiliations go across the top of the poster and can be left-justihed (as shown in hgure 10.1) or centered. The sections of the poster begin in the upper-left corner. The viewer reads one column, reaches the bottom, and moves over to the top of the next column (to the right). The text itself moves the reader s attention down the column, making the flow easy to follow. The number of columns varies with the size of the poster, but three or four columns are typical. [Pg.339]

Pathways Analysis (table 7.1) contains a large set of manually curated gene and protein interactions, together with multiple viewers to display various aspects of the interactions. The importance of visual inspection Visual inspection of reactants and product molecules offers a library designer tremendous value in terms of what product molecules can or cannot be synthesized to help formulate and address SAR hypotheses. Project medicinal chemists have fondly called this popular approach cerebral processing. In film, on the other hand, the story looks real. Far less suspension of disbelief is necessary, and the viewer has no control over the place or nature of the story. Multiple voices confuse us and impede identification with the main character. First-person identification is the most powerful.
