Mosaic patterns

The vegetative types were distributed in a mosaic pattern in the northeastern part of the site. Bare ground (BG) without vegetation due to human activities, also scattered in the mosaic. 

Symptoms These vary from plant to plant. In cucurbits, the virus causes mottling or mosaic patterns (see p.89) and distortion on the leaves. Flowering is reduced plants are stunted and may die. Fruits will be small, dark, and pitted, and may develop bright yellow blotches. 

Symptoms Many and varied, including stunting, mottled and mosaic-patterned leaves, distorted fruits, and even death. Yield of perennial crops will decline.

To observe the formation of these structures from above, the experiments were performed in a petri dish with a glass coverslip. In this case, a regular mosaic pattern was observed within 10-15 min of the boundary formation (Fig. 14).

Mosaics can be observed for a number of phases, for example, smectics F and hexatic B, and crystals B, E, G, J, K, and H, all exhibit mosaics of one form or another (see Figure 10). It is very difficult to identify these phases from their mosaic textures as they all look very similar. Two exceptions are worthy of note the E phase, because it is biaxial, has a very characteristic mosaic pattern where the domains tend to overlap to give a ghost-like appearance and the B phases, where the mosaic texture is often accompanied by a homeotropic texture that remains optically extinct on rotation of the microscope stage. Figure 11 shows a variety of mosaic textures where the molecules are either tilted or perpendicular with respect to the layer planes. 

Making this quotation we rather strive to focus attention on the ability of unbiased study of the chemical reaction by means of compiling a mosaic pattern of its model and do not call the scientists in this field to reject this effective approach. 

Patients with mosaicism can marry and have children. If they are fertile, as is the case in some patients whose mosaic patterns include trisomy 21, half of the offspring will be trisomic because nondisjunction inevitably occurs in half of the gametocytes. This phenomenom is referred to as obligatory nondisjunction.
