Mold types Three plate

There are two types of molds, namely, two-plate molds and three-plate molds. The terms two and three designate mold functions and are not related to the actual number of mold plates. [Pg.342]

The principal types are two-plate, three-plate, and stack molds. Others include the family mold that has multiple cavities of different shapes in one mold.3, 324 A further distinction concerns the feed system that can be either the cold or hot type. These classifications overlap. Three-plate molds will usually have a cold runner feed system, and a stack mold will have a hot runner system. Two-plate molds can have either feed system. [Pg.523]

Flexographic Printing Plates. There are three primary types of flexographic printing plates molded mbber, soHd-sheet photopolymer, and hquid photopolymer. [Pg.49]

Preactivated and Water-Activated Types. A typical preactivated industrial-type zinc/air cell, the Edison Carbonaire cell, is manufactured in a 1100-Ah size and is available in two-and three-eell configurations, as illustrated in Fig. 38.12. The cell case and cover are molded from a tinted transparent acrylic plastic. The construction features are shown in Fig. 38.13 identifying the wax-impregnated carbon cathode block, the solid zinc anodes, and the lime-filled reservoir. These cells normally have a bed of lime to absorb carbon dioxide and to remove soluble zinc compounds from solution and precipitate them as calcium zincate. They are made with transparent cases so that the electrolyte level and the state of charge can be monitored visually. The state of charge can be monitored by observing the condition of the zinc plates and the condition of the lime bed. The bed turns darker as it is converted to zincate. [Pg.1221]

There are three popular designs of transfer molds loose-plate, integral, and auxiliary molds. The loose-type molds can be classified into manual and semiautomatic types based on the manner of mounting and mold operation. [Pg.285]
