Mold parts Guide pins

To achieve accurate dimensions in the finished part, the mold cores must be aligned accurately with the cavities. Mold halves have large guide pins in the corners to assure alignment. [Pg.289]

Cavity-retainer plate n. A plate in a mold that holds the cavities and forces. Such plates are at the mold parting line and usually contain the guide pins and bushings. [Pg.168]
