Many problems have plagued steam generators of nuclear power plants over the last decades. Therefore, Laborelec developed its own inspection equipment and services. These were extended to other components of nuclear plants like thimbles, guide cards and baffle bolts and to classical parts of power stations like turbines, alternators, heat exchangers and piping. 

Figure )-11 gives an ovemew of the building hloc ks of the ELECTRAS system ELECTRAS was designed for two levels of user experience. The novice part offers a guided data analysis for inexperienced users. Experienced users can analyze their data fast and directly using the expert mode.

In this chapter some important synthetic reactions specific to each class of compounds are described. Only small parts of certain total syntheses will be discussed. With the given references, however, the interested reader will easily locate the complete descriptions of the syntheses. I. Fleming s (1973) book is recommended as a guide through some ingenious classic total syntheses. 

HyperChem Computational Chemistry contains two parts. Part 1, the Practical Guide, contains an overview and introduction to the types of calculations that you can perform with HyperChem . Part 2, Theory and Methods, provides detailed information on the specific implementation of calculations in HyperChem. 

For efficient transmission of ions, multipolar guides provide a means of reducing ion losses during their transit from one part of a mass spectrometer to another. It is useful to understand some of the reasons for ion losses. 

The properties that are achieved in commercial stmctural foams (density >0.3 g/cm ) are shown in Table 3. Because these values depend on several stmctural and process variables, they can be used only as general guidelines of mechanical properties from these products. Specific properties must be deterrnined on the particular part to be produced. A good engineering guide has been pubHshed (103). 

A multiple chent study may serve many useful purposes to company management. It may act as a primer for intensive study of a narrower part of the market, a guide to deciding whether to expend R D effort in the field, or a guide to deciding whether to acquire a company already in the field. The independent study can also resolve conflicting opinions within different departments of the chent company. Finally, the cost of a multiple chent study is usually lower than the cost of a comparable study by a chents in-house personnel.
