Microbe growth

The International Landmark Environmental, Inc., Aminoplast Capillary Technology (ACT) is an absorbent product for hydrocarbon and petroleum-based liquids. It can be used for contamination in soil or on surfaces, including liquid surfaces because the material is hydrophobic (will not absorb water) and floats. According to the vendor, ACT also has bioremediative characteristics, acting as a slow release fertilizer, enconraging microbe growth for the break down of toxic waste liquids. 

The optimum ranges of conditions for microbe growth or enzyme activity are quite narrow and must be controlled closely.

B) If there are two microbial species present show the dynamics of microbe growth and product formation from each and in toto. Find A1,B1,C1 and A2,B2,C2 for each microbe. 

This aspect has first priority. Evaporators for sensible products, such as food and pharmaceutical products are an example for this. Microbe growth has to be avoided as much as possible. 

In order to reduce the microbe growth, the residence time of the product in the plant should be defined, a back-mixing for example, is very detrimental. This can be ensured by a single pass of the product. 

Contamination and coating on the heat-transfer surfaces are undesirable phenomena in the evaporation plant. The heat transfer is reduced, residues result in an increased microbe growth.
