The complexity of modern drug development. On its evolution from trial and error to systematic search for new drugs, the whole process has become extremely complex. The occurrence of A-nitrodiethanolamine at various levels in all sorts of aqueous fluids in the mechanical industry results primarily from the reaction between alkanolamines and nitrite ions. The alkanolamines, such as di- or tri-ethanolamines (or their derivatives) are used as anticorrosives, lubricants or emulsifiers. The nitrite ions are frequently present in trace amounts or they are intentionally added to inhibit corrosion (metalworking fluids). 

PPE has been blended with most specialty resins — the latter usually as a minor component. Exceptions are the PPE/PPS alloys. Their performance depends on the level of PPS crystallinity. The commercial blends, DIG PPS (introduced in 1982) were developed for the electrical, electronic, and mechanical industry. They show good processability, reduced flash in injection molding, toughness, high heat and chemical resistance.

In medium to heavy mechanical industry plants, it is customary to have gantry cranes with lifting capacity in the order of 10 metric ton.
